tscomptuned BBK Full on 93oct = big power
#18
I wanna say Chad has posted graphs of a IX with just the turbo swapped to a BBK Full and the lines are almost on top of one another. I can definitely feel a bit more lag but I changed a bunch of stuff at the same time as the turbo so I can't say how much is due to the BBK (cams, intercooler, intercooler piping, etc).

The BBK is a bad *** turbo there is no doubt, but one thing people have to remember is, no matter what kinda stock frame turbo, there is work that is done to them to fit different wheels. With this said they aren't gonna feel like stock what so ever unless they actually use the same wheel as a stock turbo. Spool aspects may be in the ball park, but with the way they are designed your gonna get a tad bit more lag then any stock turbo.

thanks for sharing Blitz.. ill lower the tq no prob. also this isn't the first bbk i put in this power range on 93oct.. ive tuned 3 of these bbk full's and all were near 470 on pump and i have another one im tuning thats about the same as well on pump.
here's the other one
the turbo will stay together just fine at 30-33psi also.. we are not holding solid curves across the rpm band, so its just a quick spike to make the car feel alive downlow.
but ya, bbk full is a real nice turbo for pump gas. this car had gsc s1's, but had a few more bolt-ons to make up for the lower cam profile.
(tubular manifold, full blown throttle body, map rev3 intake mani, etc)

but what matters now is the car is making more power then it ever has before, which means i did my job right?
i know you go to the track, so i say lets wait and get it down the track and then post the slip to show how the numbers
reflect the actual graph.
