I totally agree, the cost to buy a new clean block when you fling a rod through the side makes it silly to push that kind of power.

1. Because it can be done and done safely if you have a good tune and a good combo.
2. If you're not ready to do a build.
3. If you have a perfectly running motor, why not run it? How do you know he wants a 63 block I. The future anyways?
