Matt, is this the one that I had worked on previously? If so we tried all sorts of things to get that baby to pick up spool...

Yes it is Freddie. It was giving you problems when you were here because it had a leak at the map sensor. We fixed it but regardless, you remember everything we did to try and get it to spool quicker.

I may have missed it but is there a boost plot vs rpm? I didnt see it in the 1st post. Just because peak torque is that high doesnt mean lag, it can be timing and/or MIVEC as well. You would have a light for it if its not working, but I would verify that the MIVEC is advancing like its supposed to.

Perhaps check the flapper and see if it is bent in anyway. That would cause some laggy spool as well

Good call but probably not likely. The only 2 times I have seen that though was the initial HKS7460. Havent seen that on any other turbo yet including all the EF series.

Aaron, I don't have the boost plots but Matt may. I'll ask him and if he has them I'll get him to post for you.

Yeah I am curious to see the boost plot as well. Something doesn't seem right. I saw you did more preload but I am wondering how much boost is just off the wga. If this customer brings there car back I would like to see this done if possible because it looks like what my car did the first few pulls. Mikey if you want to know details please pm me I'll go over what I did and I would like to help out if it is something simple.
