In this particular case, would you define an FP Red as a smaller turbo?

Anything smaller than a Black, the Red might work out okay but it would definitely be on the small side. Then again I think there is a reason my car makes the power it does with as many off the shelf parts as it has. The 2 big things that separate my car from Anthony's are the cams and headwork. The compression ratio I dont think hurts it as much really, breathing is WAY more important.

Any 3rd gear pulls? This turbo seem to be the best compliment for 2.4s just as you advised

not so sure if the cam upgrade will be worth it if headflow is already limited. maybe the combo of both...

i've done a lot of research, and as far as i know, the hta86 is THE perfect turbo for an all around street monster.

Its amazing to see that the only difference that im aware of between the FS 635 and the HTA86 is the compressor wheels. FP seems to have optimized the turbine of the 35r with that HTA86 wheel. Its shows this in the graphs as well

Just saw this thread & this thing must haul *** on the freeway (or anywhere for that matter)! Its pretty cool when you see 400ft/lbs by 4200rpm with a man-size turbo too The 2.4 is no joke. The owner should be very proud of this and great job ER as usual

Load on a dynojet makes a big difference in spool if the load control is turned off.
