do you have a new project car?
yeah i still hang around on here looking at what english has been been up to...family is doing good..i have a toyota pick up i have been building and bought a house shortly after i sold you the evo...congrats again on the power now...do you think it was worth the swap to the new turbo i seeen aaron said the the load control effects the way it spools so does this turbo really spool that much faster on the street and aaron do you think the wastgate dump has anything to do with it spooling faster

Since this wasnt one of our motors, we knew it had Eagles in it and thats about it, I wasnt pushing it as hard as we can when we know exactly what we have going on inside the motor. I can run 2-3* at the same range where it was -3*. MBT is deceiving down low though and while it might be a discussion for another thread I dont believe MBT works vs RPM. It is what it is and in the case of almost all 4G63s its 18*.

aaron, what would the curve look like if the midrange was tuned with the 2-3 degrees like you mentioned? i know running more timing usually means more power, so does that mean torque would come on sooner?

Yeah but your car already makes 482 ft lbs right there as its coming online. Between traction and bearing life its not worth it. Its really after the turbo is already lit, this wouldnt make a difference on spool.

Quick question for you Aaron. Since you do alot of 2.4s. In your opinion how's the throttle response getting on it and between shifts compared to your more normal 10.1- 10.5 compression motors. Just curious to get your opinion on it
