Evo IX convert to E85 stock turbo 390WHP

So with rising gas prices and an irrefutable offer from phuong at wingz performance I decided to take the plunge and join his "e85 army".

A little after 2 hours phuong managed to have my new 1050cc injectors installed and tuned at 28 psi. However we couldnt get the AEM truboost to hold or produce anything higher than 28psi, the results were still favorable. He managed 390whp and 360?TQ according to virtual dyno..

Considering premium is edging 4.15 here in AZ its really a no brainer to pay $1.00 less..

I haven't heard of anybody swapping to E85 to save money before... considering the cost of the injectors/tune and dramatically increased fuel consumption I highly doubt you will save any money. E85 is cheap for race gas, but not cheaper than pump.

I wasnt trying to imply that id save money I know that you aren't saving money. But for the increase in performance and reliability for $1.00 less a gallon its justifiable. I was getting anywhere from 240 to 270 miles a tank on pump. so far on e85 I've used a half tank and have gone 130 miles..
