05 Evo-Tobz Performance tuned.

Bought this 05 Evo that was supposed to be stock. It ended up burning a bunch of oil and the motor spun two bearings while on vacation in FL. Upon teardown, my builder found out it was a 2.3l Stroker, oil rings were messed up, compression rings not even seated right.
The car was going to stay stock until paid off completely but had to rebuild the motor, and the downpipe cracked so I just put a used Megan dp on it and a cheap 3 in exhaust. I had a mbc so I just put it on the car.
Rebuilt it with Manley crank, Eagle rods, CP Pistons, some headwork but stock valvetrain.
10.5hotside
Megan DP
3 in Ebay exhaust
Hallman MBC
New Competition Clutch(stage 2 full disk)-feels awesome
STM oil cooler
pretty sure it has a Walboro in it
Thats it for mods

Tobz fixed an oil leak at the -an fittings of the oil cooler, swapped in some better plugs and wires, and got to tuning it. It was tuned in FL but the altitude change made a big difference in the tune so it needed a good re-tune up here in Denver.

It made 315hp and 344tq on his Mustang Dyno

Just for reference, it made 330hp and 310 tq on the VD before the motor let go.

The car is for sale now but I really dont want to let it go so we'll see what happens.
If I keep it I would like to add some more things to it.
cams
LICP
ported turbo manifold
O2 housing
intake
Injectors
and just DD it like that for a while

I'm assuming it's still a 2.3L from that torque. That's some nice power on a MD for those mods.

yes its still a 2.3l. It was actually cheaper to rebuild it like that since I only had to replace 2 rods and the crank(found them on here for good prices).

yeah, unfortunately the previous owners still deny the fact that it burned oil so theres no getting through to them.
Car runs super smooth now. I ordered the Saikou Michi catch cans to help with blow by.

not sure on the CF, Im sure Tobz did it right. I have not VDRd it since, I have no plans to.
Honestly power wasnt a big deal to me, I just needed the car to run smooth and it really does. It pulls pretty damn good.
