really dies up top. Even my green with hks 272 holds 300tq at 7k. Historically, ATP bolt on turbos have never done well on our cars, esp the 3071. My full bolt on and cam stock 8 turbo made the same power at 25psi, obviously with much better spool. The stock o2 is hurting spool and overall flow, but I'd still ditch that turbo...won't make much more than a stock turbo but will be much more laggy

Thanks for the info. my understanding was that the stock evo 8 turbo was very restricted over 21 psi. which is why i installed this turbo as opposed to selling it. guess ill port the manifold and get an aftermarket o2 housing or dump. should keep me content untill i do a full rebuild and upgrade to a bigger turbo

extremely low I feel like you should be around 390-400 and then with the 02+ manifold maybe 430ish but that's just my two cents

The flow numbers

Stock 9-------------42-43 lb./min.
Gt30----------------50-52 lb./min.

Those are good numbers for the mods and the fuel you are using. Thanks for sharing your turbo results.

It's just funny how people aren't comparing the before and after instead are comparing dyno numbers from different place and time...

It started at 250-260 HP untuned. I was wondering if there was something fhat could be limiting me as far as getting to or past 400

Moore did a good job. I just didn't think havubg the stock o2 housing would hurt me so much

O2 housing and stock manifold is holding you back...

Oh wow, where do I begin? First of all, this is a high mileage '03 stock bottom end. I was being a little conservative to help it keep living. The ATP bolt-on GT's were never all that good, and laggy to boot. Now, put a stock, horribly restricted O2 housing on it so it can't breathe out very well, AND with S1's (yes, they're better than stock, but still not that great on the top end) and what do you get? Something that dies on the top end. You guys act like he should be making 400+ whp on a choked engine with the little bit of mods he has.

And btw, our DynoJet reads lower than a local "heartbreaker" Dyno Dynamics and Mustang Dyno. And I don't trust AMS's dyno as far as I could throw it. Everyone that's been on our dyno after there's, said their dyno reads around 40-50whp higher. So don't let inflated numbers fool you.
