06 IX MR street tune results

I had gotten my tune recently @ Spec-Ops in Fayetteville, NC. I wasn't expecting to feel much of a difference, but man was I wrong!
Needless to say, they will be seeing more of me in the future

Mods:

K&N typhoon intake with an Amsoil filter
Ets full short-route piping on a stock FMIC
Muse O2 dump
Megan DP
Testpipe
Apexi Catback
Walbro 255
Forge MBC
93 oct

everything else is stock.

They said it was 24.5 psi, but my stock mr boost gage only hits 1.4 so maybe the gauge is off?

Shoutout to Spec Ops in Fayetteville for a job well done

Very nice numbers. The MR gauge is in bar so 1.4 bar = 20.3 psi, which is the factory setting. Do you have a manual boost controller to adjust it? It is common to have a 2-stage boost controller and leave one setting at the factory default and the other with higher boost.

There should be a noticeable difference with the higher boost when you go WoT.

Thanks, Correct me if I was wrong, but I belive that the factory boost is 1.3 (17-18psi). And yes I do have a MBC so once its set, it's set, unless you manually go undernaeath the hood. From what I have heard the factory MR gauges can be off so thats why I said that I didn't know the boost for sure.

It's normal to drop to 21psi from 24psi peak as the stock IWG will taper higher up in rpm with a MBC setup. Only way to minimize dropped psi up top is upgrading the actuator with a Turbosmart 22psi or FP 18psi units and controlling pressure with ecuboost.

1/4 mi drag strips are pretty much non-existent here in NC even though I'm less than 5 miles from ZMax. Only 4 total in the state, the rest are 1/8 mi

Very big improvement over what it was on the previous tune.

Any chance you can re-log and get another graph? Stock turbo shouldn't peak at 7500rpm and the torque shouldn't shoot up at the end either. I'm guessing it is more around 330-335 instead of 355

Agreed. Had my fair share of bolt-on 9's and I'm surprised to see the power still gaining at 7500. The track will tell the true story though.

Put into perspective, my current WW 9 has TBE (Perrin dp and Tanabe Medallion exhaust), injectors, fuel pump, ETS LICP, Perrin Intake and Grimmspeed MBC and I only made 305whp on a local Dynojet (tuned by Omar). The car definitely feels faster than 305, but that's what the dyno said. Take it to the track and see what it runs and you will see what the real power is.

My last 9 MR with similar bolt-ons made 335whp and 330wtq. None of them have held power that high up though.
