Meh if you stay out of boost you're fine. Or just bring the tools with you and do it in the parking lot.

You're not going to kill the motor if you don't get into boost. Keep an eye on your wideband, take it easy and you'll be fine.

A remote basemap would be ideal, but I wouldn't worry like crazy if you're on stock injectors/MAF.

I did contact Buschur and spoke with jarrod, and he pretty much told me the same info as the members are suggesting. But I didnt ask him if he can make me a base map so I can drive it to him. Thanks EvoVIIIFL for suggesting that. I forgot to ask him about that. I think for the sake of my baby, I will have the kit installed at Buschur just to be safe. Thanks guys for the help

That's amazing!!! Did you have your knock light come on at all, especially while speeding up/boost? Did you log at all to see if you really were "fine"?

Wow pump gas on a E85 tune......you are a brave soul.

If BR can't give you a base map and you are dead set going to them then just have them install the turbo for you.

Lol its not about the money, its just the fact that Buschur need the car for atleast one week to get everything done, so i now need to find an extra car to use to go to work until Buschur gets the car ready. I can't say anything because i am lucky to have Buschur so close to me.

Good call. Cutting corners is a really bad idea when it comes to modding, especially with a turbo as big as your 6466. It rarely ever saves any time or money, because you end up paying for it down the road when things break.

Post up some dyno charts when you're finished!

you will be fine, if you want to save the money install it yourself, drive and get a tune. have done it more times than i can count, if you keep your foot off the boost you will be fine.

Anytime
I made the sad mistake on my stock motor of driving the car on AEM and not having an air intake temp gauge.. car ran great while it was cold but once it warmed up outside..lean and boom..

live, learn and pass along the knowledge.

Having unprotected sex with a prostitute, good or bad idea??

It's like other people said, why risk it? It MIGHT be ok, or you MIGHT get aids..or in your case blow the motor. This should be a no brainer..

$1k for a turbo kit install? $300-$450 is fair.

You would be fine to drive it there, just don't rip on it. That turbo won't even do any decent spooling till past 5k rpm anyway, and thats only if you were trying to make it.

If you're really that worried just crank the fuel up and pull timing in the map for your journey. But in all reality if you just drive the car like a normal one, it would be fine....
