There are MANY people who have waited as long as you have (OP) but it will be worth it. I know I get impatient about the tuning (still not finished either) but also realize Tom tunes 40+ cars at once, so for now it is what it is.

I do agree that at this volume there should be some sort of order whether public or private. Tom, do you even have time to moderate a calender?

I think what people need to understand is Tom is only one guy. It took me over 2 years to get mine completely done but that wasn't his fault. He is very picky about how he does things, and I know from working with him so long is that he can only do so much at one time. So with that said people who pay for their tunes and can't get them right away just be patient. Drop him another email saying hey just wanted to let you know I did pay and this is when I'm free. I think that would help him out a lot being as I said he is a really busy guy.

Tom - Create a Google event calendar and embed it on your website. Show just your free/busy information, set up appointment slots so customers can choose the best time for themselves. Sync it to your smart phone to get reminders and to manage changes on the fly. Automatically accept email invitations if your calendar is open. Use email to manage RSVP's from customers that you want to book in a specific slot. Post documents and files with their associated events so customers have access to the ROMs or instructions they need. Use the time zone conversion feature to allow people in different zones to see when you are traveling or working. Customizable working hours remind people not to pick times when you are asleep!
Finally if you don't have time to set this up for yourself, delegate your calendar to a partner and let them do it for you

Wow you know a lot about the calendar cdrinkh2o. i am using it now and i like it. i did not know it could do all of that stuff. that is awesome. thank you.

to others:

i am not that backed up per say, i didn't want to mention it but i guess i should. i had a rib injury or some kind of body injury where i could barely sit for a entire week and resorted into laying flat and stuff cause the pressure was so extreme in the area i could not sit. thats partially why the wait time extended.

i am working now and getting all emails answered and sending roms out now to current customers.

also if theres anyone else that's free that have been waiting awhile contact me if you have tether or the cars ready ASAP i will get it started and knocked out asap.

I apologize for the delay but the end result should make it worth the wait. I think im behind about 10 cars right now which isnt all that bad when you think about it.

Sorry to hear about your injury and i hope you are feeling better soon. I like the idea of having a posted schedule of where customers are in line. I don't mind waiting for my turn for getting tuning adjustments but it would be nice to have some predictability. The Military keeps my schedule hectic and I need all the advance planning I can get. Thanks for keeping us customers informed by answering this post. I will re-email you at the address you posted. Thanks for the work you have done with my car so far. I look forward to my next revision as I know it will be a stellar one!

I got a lot of work done today and still going. and going to keep going until around 3am tonight. I do try to give military customers the priority for free + i also deduct $ for them on global purchases whether its parts or tuning.

I am going to look into making the calendar public, i haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Ya ribs are feeling better, but today i feel a knot sensation with pressure so dont know why its hurting again. i have ot sit on the computer chair with both feel on it and position myself so im not bending that area at all or there is pain / pressure.

thanks for the support guys i appreciate it. i am really dedicating myself to getting everyone up and running the best of my abilities and not taking breaks except to eat and sleep lol.

I think when you are providing a service such as tuning, I would like to see direct contact rather than email. I know you probably dont want to recieve calls from customers all the time but it would put a lot of people at ease.

I do talk to some customers sometimes if need be, but i also ran into customers who had me on the phone for 3hrs which is not what i want to do. i have a hard time hanging up or ending a conversation until the other person does so on the other line. I think i've talked to maybe 10 customers out of 600+ ive done so i dont feel its necessary. however if the customer shows he has stuff to tell me that is hard for him to explain via text i will take the call no problem. i'm not really a phone person i try to avoid it. i don't mind using it, but i like having history of communication so i prefer text method as a default route.

Tom,

The calendar idea sounds like an amazing idea. I AIM'd you but have not received a response. A few(about 4 so far) of us that have Evo 8/9 in the area may have access to a local Dynojet that just opened (only one in the city). We thought if we got the guy to run the Dyno, u would remote into the laptop and tune us. Our roads suck right now b/c of nasty potholes, wavy roads, etc. So figured this could be an excellent option for all of us. We can pay you extra too.

Let us know if that is do-able or not.

I did respond. did you check again or maybe aim is being dumb? im using a really old version of aim, so maybe it has bad communication with the newer aim's.

but yes id love to do that. I just need to get the cars prepared drivability wise so we can spend the least time on the dyno so you dont get a big dyno bill.

I to am in the same boat and I'd love to see a calendar. Being a business owner myself I completely understand his situation. Could use a few more hours in the day, ha. We are currently in the middle of a tune. Tom has helped me out a lot, sold me parts (GREAT PRICES!!), given advice and is worth the wait. I even have access to a local tuner with a dyno and I'd rather wait it out with Tom.

Didn't about your tethering. I can do that!

Also didn't know about the injury, really sorry to hear about that and hope you get better soon!

I emailed you today Tom to see where we were, I failed to mention we have a dyno day coming up in May, love to compare the results with the VDs.
