EVO 2.4 IX RS: 690hp & 830tq

My EVO 2.4 IX RS took top honors today at GT-R dyno day. First AWD dyno here locally is a Dynocom Dyno and is brand new. Their numbers are higher than DynoJet and way higher than Mustang Dyno. My car was 532hp/500tq on a Mustang Dyno with exact tune. For comparison, I asked them to overlay the fastest GT-R graph with my 4th gear pull graph. This GT-R has the SBD700 package installed on e85, which the shop, RIP sells and installs on GT-R's for 600hp/600tq. These might be high numbers, but the big win was using my 2nd best numbers compared to their fastest GT-R of the day. Congrats to RIP on their new dyno.

What I like about my 2.4 IX RS on any dyno is how early I make torque and how early I make horsepower...looking at 200hp as a benchmark. (3rd gear pull)

Back to back pulls with no spikes:
4th gear: 661hp/680tq
3rd gear: 690hp/830tq
4th gear: 660hp/705tq

Dyno's done same day so I compared GT-R to my EVO 2.4 IX RS:
GT-R 5th gear: 600hp/688tq
EVO 2.4 IX RS: 660hp/705tq

Something isnt right with that dyno. You dont make more torque than horse power once you upgrade from a stock frame small turbo usually especially at that hp level.

I dont even know how to compare this to anything even your back to back pulls were way off???
I would stick with the mustang dyno numbers, at least those are realistic and still great.

Not sure what Dynocom dyno or the shop is and what it/they do to scandal in money but what does the car trap at the track so everyone else in the real world can compare numbers.

From what I know, Dynocom dynos are similar to DynaPak. The numbers are very easily manipulated. These dyno results are further proof. You don't make more power in 3rd than you do in 4th. Stopping the pull at 5k rpm? Even more ridiculous.

No non-stock turbo on an Evo makes more torque than horsepower. If the numbers are correct, you would be over 1200whp. Go look at Sparktech's 1134whp Evo (683wtq) Or Strickly Modified's 1003whp (704wtq).

You trippin son lol

I agree with most comments. My pulls however were consistent since the 4th gear pulls were accurate by comparison. The best take away was beating the GT-R's on the same Dyno.

I have never ran the car on drag strip, but I am curious what my trap speed is too. I will be using Mustang Dyno & Evolution Dynamics' Kevin as my tune & tuner. I'm probably turning my power down from here on out anyway.

he does have a stroker, hp and trq are going to be closer than either of those cars as they are on a 2.0l. i make 636whp and 555wtq in 3rd gear on a stroker motor. i agree that those numbers are wayyyy of though. when i had my first tune it was on a dynocom dyno and it was incredibly low. 230whp at 25psi

The RPM sync was off. Start of pull to finish of pull doesnt add up, and unless you running a smaller stock appearing turbo at 50psi you arent making 830 ft lbs at 3,900.

No doubt tq is off. I have a EF3 turbo that has some trick work done by MAP. Kevin is the only tuner I trust my car too. He has it dialed in on 532hp & 500tq on his Mustang dyno.

Again: the only baseline is beating the SBD700 GT-R's on the same day. Same Dyno. Last graph shows overlay.

i have a Dynocom and all i can say this is not a calibrated dyno,it seems to need proper calibration and good rpm sync, you can't measure third gear and 4th gear on same session if you are not using optical pickup for rpm signal,so i assume he is using snapshot and to use snapshot you have to be very accurate,i usually rely on the engine speed from evoscan and not the Tacho.
