injector size question....

hi guys,

i have a 2005 mitshubishi evo 8 running on the AMS Gt30R turbo kit @ 24 lbs. kind of in a dilemma right now since it's my weekend car and is garaged-kept so i have some time to think about my tear-down.

right now i'm working on replacing my intake manifold with a stock but ported intake manifold from buschur racing along with their 65mm throttlebody. I will also be replacing all the gaskets with heat-resistant gaskets in addition the stock OEM gasket. so it's be stock gasket, heat resistant gasket, another stock gasket. also i have the stm EGR block-off plate so i plan to do the whole EGR delete ordeal. and will also be installing an STM stand catch can (in the market for one right now)

my tuner will be Chris from Moore's Automotive in Fairfax, VA.

Currently running 780cc injector and have the opportunity to switch up to 1000cc ones. Do you guys think 1000 will be enough? Thanks for your input.

U maybe posted in the wrong forum... but...

1000s would be great if ure staying on pump gas. They will take u up to mid 500s on a single pump. 600+on a dual pump setup. If u have plans to go to E85, u may wanna go larger.

Definately in the wrong section... but I agree with silvermike. Should you decide to go larger ie. GT35R or E85 you will be upgrading injectors again along with a fuel pump.

I'm not sure I read your gasket comment correctly. If you think stacking gaskets is a good idea I would advise against that. I'd run an oem gasket as they don't have the tendency to leak like aftermarket ones. The engine bay is going to heat soak everything so your money/time is better spent elsewhere IMO.
