evo 9 98% at 20psi

hi, im mapping friends car and injector dutycycle is at 98% at 7200rpm
boost is set at20 psi, tapering to 18psi

i think thats pretty low boost for 98% dutycycle.
the car has stock fuel pump.
is it normal or is the boost gauges showing lower than actual boost ?
thanks

Could be the stock pump which flows the least of the EVO's causing much of the issue although my guess is while you will see a difference until you add a pump and injectors you will still have a problem.. You usually try and hit no more the 80% DC to keep all things under control.

yeah stock pump, I wouldn't raise the boost on a 8 or 9 without at least doing a walboro

Stock pump is old, the stock filter assembly is probably old and can be an issue. Doubtful it will need injectors more than it needs a pump. The O-ring is torn, the cuff is missing, etc.
