My 2.2 4G63/ 6466 Build

Last year around November i threw a rod through my old built 2.0 and decided i wanted to do something a little different with this build. I knew i wanted to stroke the motor but didn't want to be limited as far as RPM so i decided my best bet would be to build a 2.2 LR. I spoke with my tuner and we decided that the motor would be a great match up with the 6466 to achieve the power goals and powerband i was looking for. My engine was built by a local Evo engine builder here in Georgia, Shop Monkey Garage. The tune is very conservative not alot of timing and relatively modest AFR. We were not trying to put it on kill mode, with a bigger intercooler im sure the car will make 800+with no problem.

Mods include:

Shop Monkey Garage 2.2 LR
K1 94 mm crankshaft
Manley Turbo Tuff Rods
CP 10:5:1 Pistons .20 Over
4g63 Block
Kiggly HLA
AMS Gasket Matched Head
S2 Cams
BC Titanium springs & retainers
REV 3 Intake manifold
70mm Fully Blown Throttlebody
AGP 3.5 intercooler
Turbo PTE 6466
JDL FF T3 Manifold
Browning Tuning Down Pipe
Browning Tuning Exhaust
BROWNING TUNING intercooler Pipes
Bushur racing SD Rear piece
TIAL Q BOV
PRECISION 46MM Wastegate
QM 8 LEG CLUTCH
SPOOLIN UP COP
Bushur Double Pumper
FIC 2150s
Perrin Fuel Rail
FUEL LAB FPR
E85
TUNED BY BROWNING TUNING
752/590

Looks like a nice build and a really fun car. Do you plan on drag racing?

Yes eventually, This is still on the stock transfercase, and transmission. Once i get time and $$$ to upgrade them it will be time to hit the track and see what she can do. Car weighed in around 2935 at 1/4 tank so im hoping to see some good results in the future at the track.

What A/R housing did you go with? What psi was the pull done on? Full boost around 5500rpm?

Great numbers btw. I am in the middle of a 2.2 build and just now deciding on what turbo to go with. Mod list is almost the same.

Its a .82 AR, Full boost around 5200 RPM. Also The turbo was still pulling when my tuner let out. Seeing how flat that curve isat 8700 im sure the car will still hold power out to 9k RPM. Def recommend the 6466.

Very nice setup, have you considered posting this in the "all model mitsubishi build threads"? I just think it would get more admiration over there. Beautiful setup

Nice setup and numbers. I have the same 2.2l I'm building right now. I was told it's good up to around 9400rpm. Heard anything on safe rev limit?
