HTA71 on pump gas with meth

There isnt much info on this turbo so I think ill share.

Car has a 2.2 stroker kit with really low compression around 125 but its because the pistons are 3mm too low.

Buschur Street Core
Cosworth M2
Spoolincop
Muse LICP
Muse UICP
4bar map
Tial BOV
Methanol 50/50 with 90 octane

FP had this turbo for 600 and e9 turbo was shot so we decided to give it a try and I ordered it.

Nice, I too have the HTA71 on my car, stock 2.0 making 360hp and 361tq on a mustang dyno at 25psi would be interesting if I could turn my boost up as high as yours but I'm sure I would blow the bottom end.

This is the newer school f.p white.

I had the white which was a bit smaller then this and made 420 whp pump gas 28.5 pis with full bolt on built 2.0 high compression motor and built stage 3 s.b.r head.

I ran that turbo cause I was waiting for my upgraded turbo from f.p hta 82 and I was very impressed with that little snail. Instant boost and made power. I think for pump and meth your power is a bit low but then again your motor is a bit hurt.

Our octane is super low also around 89 90. No doubt it woud be around 420ish with better octane and higher compression.

Full tank of gas plus 3 200lb passengers? That is one heavy Evo to be doing tuning with. 36psi might be way too much on that turbo as well.

does this turbo have the surge ports?

if not, how is the drivability? any surge issues?

Ni surge issues and no anti surge housing

Spools quickly and very good torque...however you can get an hta green for 850 upgrades.....unless 250 bucks is an issue I would shoot for the 73.....

Would be nice a plot to compare.

Porting it should make it nicer.

This car is a stroker car but with its compression

at lower boost levels holds power up top better......

the HTA71 spools very quick for me on stock 2.0 with FP4R Cams, barely noticable change in spool from my stock 8 turbo.

It's a great turbo. I made 400 on buschurs dyno on a stock motor. Also went 11.6@126 on street tires with it. Good luck and have fun
