No tuners around - ECU flash?
Probably already said by now:
1. Am I off base or does a reflash not seem like a viable option since I have no tune shop around? E-tunes work amazing. Hit up Jay @ BoostedTuning or Gary @ BainsTuned
2. Would a drop in air filter work without the need for a flash and help me at all or would a drop in be something a person would want to create a flash for? No tune needed for that. However, a tune, in general, will help the car run much better.
3. Could I go a step further and replace the OEM airbox with a air intake and be able to get a ECU flash sent to me that would fix the MAF sensor issues that could be expected? Needs to be tuned. "Off the shelf"/generic tunes aren't too great and I don't think you would want to take the risk. For that reason, I don't think anyone offers them anymore.
