Just to update:

At the track last weekend we ran into clutch engagement / disengagement issues. Long story short car is going back to shop to have trans pulled and I’m going to convert my twin to a triple disc.

while it’s down and we are quarantined due to this virus I figured I’d go ahead and swap over to my 6870 Morrison Fab Kit. Along with upgraded fuel lines. Went with the STM fuel feed kit for double pumper setup. -6 feed and -8 return I believe (was still on stock lines).. and a Boostin Performance fuel rail (they’re on sale for $99 for anyone looking!)

here is the hot parts (downpipe not pictured) but I have to say the customer service and quality from Morrison Fab was exceptional.

Nice lookin build my man. I cant wait to see what that new turbo setup makes. Word of advice on the triple Exedy wants the pedal about and inch or 2 off the floor. I have had issues with mine going way way up after I rebuilt mine and have a hard time going into reverse. I think I just need break in miles, but I also have prototype stuff in my car. Make sure you don't back out the clutch pedal such as Jacks suggests being it will be an expensive repair don't ask me how I know. Let me know how it goes.

Guys quick question.. I’m a newb with powder coating and all that.

I want to have my valve cover powder coated and I’ve read to make sure the coater does not use sand blast or glass bead because the material will not fully get out of the baffle.

My local reputable coater says he has done tons of other platform valve covers And never had an issue. He stated he uses Black oxide chemical strip?

I want to make sure I have no chance it messing up my motor.

If you want zero chances, remove the baffles. Its really not hard.

Drill the rivets with the size bit for M5 thread, tap them, then bolt them back on when PC is done after you thoroughly clean it.

So for your fuel set up did you use a upgraded regulator with the stock fuel rail? If so what kind of regulator if not is it possible to get full detail in the setup? Asking for a friend lol

Stock regulator, stock rail, stock lines.

I however purchased the stm e85 double pumper line kit ( -6 feed and -8 return I believe) and a Boostin performance rail that will be going on with this round of upgrading.

Remove the baffles like LGTD said if you want ZERO chances of issues. I need to do that to mine but I don't trust myself with it for some reason and my hands ain't as steady as they used to be. Also, ask the coater to soda blast vs. sand blast since it's water soluble.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I’m just going to send it to this guy who runs a coating business and advertises on the Evo FB groups. He’s done numerous evo valve covers. Can’t wait to see how it comes together!

Also hoping to have my buddy fabricate a 2.75” upper intercooler pipe as I believe I will benefit from the larger diameter piping at this point.

If you're going to a bigger UICP, just do 3".

Question for you guys

Opening up my STM g series return line today. (Pushlock style fitting) and the hose they supplied is a 1/2” ID hose. I want my drain to flow as smooth as possible. Not only is the hose giving me nightmares to get on to the fitting, but it visually looks smaller than the 10an port on the fitting. Should I swap to a 5/8” ID hose or just go along with it since STM knows what they’re doing...?

quick pic for reference

They must've boxed up the wrong hose. You're never gonna get 1/2" hose on a -10 push lock fitting lol. Def find some 5/8 or -10 hose to use.
