I'm really curious how well those ti studs and nuts hold up. Considering them whenever my engine is finished and sent back here. Did you have to loctite them?

I actually want to order a few titanium goodies from JDC.

I put a small amount of permatex high temp thread sealant on them

looks absolutely incredible. Buschur and Kasley are also building my Evo 9. I am exited to finally get it back. I will note that Kasey has always been lightening fast with replies, but your right Buschur has been slow with communication.

Are you going to heat wrap your manifold and your exhaust stuff?

It would help keeping temps down inside of the engine bay that stuff gets hot.

You referring to the titanium pieces getting hot?

Morrison fab is adamant about not using exhaust wrap. Nor do they warranty any parts that had been wrapped

Wrap is a waste of time, it mostly collects water and causes horrible corrosion. Jet hot coating or swain tech white lightning, or leave it raw. There's a lot of air flow in the engine bay; you can protect the surrounding components with heat shields and heat reflective tape. Mostly just the exhaust cam sensor since hes running a turbo that doesn't use water lines. The power steering pump is far enough away that it doesn't care.

Those exhaust studs would be the least of my worries. We made titanium springs at my work out of grade 4 I believe for an NHRA team and they didn't last through a heat cycle. We had all kinda problems with the chamfers and grinding as well. What we used did not like heat and or being ground it gummed up the bits and grinding plates. Morrison I am guessing is backing up their products on the account of worrying about welds and stuff like that possibly breaking with the coatings.

Like Morrison, JM fabs said they wouldn't warrenty anything that had a ceramic coat on it. You may not like the wrap but stuff still needs to breath according to them. I did it being one I wanted temps to be under control being I use a half rad. If you use a quality wrap and proper overlaps they actually work pretty well.

So I will be getting my valve cover back from powder coating soon. He did remove the baffles and tapped them for me. I read a couple guys have had issues with screws backing out even after using red loctite. I do not want that to happen. and i dont see any need to remove my baffles again, so was going to ask what you guys think about using jb weld on the screws? lol.

I have had any issues. I used red loctite and a lock washer, M5x.8 Allen heads torqued to 60in-lbs.

You could order bolts with the heads drilled for safety wire and wire them up..
