Question Evo4 - Tactrix 2.0 Datalog

I know this topic was brought up in the past as I have been reading and searching for weeks now but I cannot picture the answers or at least proper pictures to show me the way. Coming from someone that has done tons of Hondata adjustements, I feel lost and a total noob getting my Evo setup

I have a 1996 Evo 4 that has a Evo 5 ecu already tuned so I have ordered the Evo Tactrix 2.0 kit that came with a OBD2 connector, the USB cable and also another cable that looks like an audio jack going to a style of ecu connector (see attached). I then downloaded EvoScan V2.9 which I purchased as well and am trying to connect - each time it fails and I'm not 100% sure if I either have the wrong EvoScan settings OR if one of the wires is not connected right.

Yes, I do have a wire running out of the ECU which I believe is the PIN 79 that everyone is talking about but I believe that is for reading and writing only (shouldn't impact datalogging?). That said, where does that PIN 79 from ECU wire end connect to?

What setting should I use in Evoscan? OpenPort 1.3 or OpenPort 2.0? Then what else? Baudrate? Timeout ms? ECU EFI?

Nonetheless, does anyone have pictures of their wiring setup and perhaps EvoScan settings?

Thanks a lot in advance

Mike

You have a 2.0 so you should be using 2.0 in evoscan. If the EFI ECU drop down doesn't work, try the ceddymod Evo 5/6 setting and see if that goes. I'd leave the other settings default unless you have a good reason to try changing them.
