if it fits with the headliner out and u r good at doin this u can measure out and cut the head liner with a razor blade. the bar will fit and the headliner will be almost "formed" around the roll bar.

Thats really besides the fact , i didnt pay 3,200 for a SSL package to use a cage that does not allow my sunroof to open. Autopower does make a specific cage for a Evo with a sunroof or without. I already have returned the cage and got my money back so everything is ok , besides a few scrathes on my side skirt and my headliner being torn .

May I ask why you want a cage in your street EVO to begin with? Are you plannig on racing the car in SCCA T2 class? Have you gone below 11 in the 1/4 miles to require a rollcage?

the more i read, i wonder if it's a cage, or a roll bar.

Sounds like a roll bar.

And a roll bar is never a bad thing, if you track a car.

Its just a added benefit of safety , and yea for me running low 12.0's it does not require a cage , but with a few more slight mods i should be in the 11.s

That sucks but yea, the headliner in cars with sunroofs are usually 2 inches lower than normal headliners. When i put a cusco cage in my car, we had to cut the bottom of the cage and reweld the mounting plates back on to get it to fit.
