If you want it done right, then get a rca converter. Then add an amp and sub to that. Or most small amps have high level inputs too. Amps that have this dont require RCA plugs. Just splice into any stock speaker wire and your set. I must warn you- your gonna get lots of alternator whine thru your sub if you dont go with an aftermarket deck.

The easiest possible thing you could do would be to buy the infinity basslink or one of those bass tubes and hook it into your speakers. No need for RCA's or converters. It wouldn't be amazing rattle your car bass, but it will be compact enough to fit under one of the front seats (I think the infinity basslink would, i know a bass tube would not). It would also be a lot lighter than a separate amp, sub, and box.

is there a relocation kit to move the stero down and add a pocket or something where the old stereos are? kinda like the gauge and stereo swap for IX's?

Its basicaly impossible to get alt whine through a 50hz subwoofer...

No you do not need to change your stereo

AVOID infinity basslinks...trust me..

you need this

I have heard the JL Audio cleansweep in a friends car and it produced good clean sound. You might want to look into that also.

I've heard quite a few people say that those line output converters can burn out if you put too much power through them. They tend to have a pretty low wattage capacity.

I'm using an amp with built-in highlevel inputs with the stock radio in my jeep and it sounds pretty good. Unless you already happen to have an amp you want to use, I'd look for some with high level inputs.
