Aftermarket stereo question

So im looking into replacing my stock stereo and have the stock infinity amp and sub and want to know if i need a deck that has 1 set of pre amp output or 3 sets of pre amp outputs?.

I plan to keep the stock amp and sub which is enough bass for me and don't plan on upgrading

You can get a special adapter from Crutchfield that will connect an aftermarket deck to the factory Infinity system. Mine was included with the deck that I bought. I think it is around $15 or $20 if bought separately. It works great.

If you search in the actual audio section... This has been covered before and should answer your question.

@slc-ralliart - on that adapter with the rca jacks, which ones are the front and back? because they do not have them labeled.

also does your aftermarket deck have one set of pre outs or 3?

been looking online for this info and cant fine it.

the basic audio info does not list specific details on this adapter or how to hook it up

I just followed the instructions from this review. http://www.ltparis.com/2009/06/27/re...elon-kdc-x693/. My deck is a Kenwood as well.

I think my deck has 3 outputs. I'll see if I can find the install manual for the adapter. I know a one page installation guide came with my adapter.
