Mounting XM tuner and iPOD interface

I'm considering mounting the XM tuner and iPOD interface (2 separate pieces) under the passenger seat. Are there any wires and / or lines that run under the carpet or under the chassis that I should be aware of before mounting these things? I certainly don't want to short any electrical lines or puncture fluid lines of any sort. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you're considering screwing through the car frame to mount his devices. For the carpet there are holes that you could maneuver your hand through (might tear the hole a bit) to check for lines, but I don't recall any there under the passenger seat. For the chassis you could just look under the car. If you're still squeamish, you could always tape/velcro the devices to the carpet.

I used velcro to mount both my ipod adapter and xm module under the passenger seat. No need to screw them in when the velcro does as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'm gonna check under the carpet and chassis to see what the hell is down there and figure out which option to take.

The rear O2 sensor is fed through a hole under the carpet. That's what's under there.
