So apperantly the new GTS Lancer 08 have an AUX input for IPOD. I searched around a bit for a solution to our EVO VIII/IX IPOD/AUX hookup but came up empty handed.

Is it possible to make an AUX hookup for the stock MR IX Radio without using a FM modulator?

Can we use a different headunit (Stock Mitsubishi prefered for stealthiness) that will give us a IPOD or AUX hookup? Or maybe a XM enabled Mitsu head unit with minimal wiring changes? Seems like another Mitsu model would help with this issue.

Any suggestions or ideas? I hate the radio selection in Austin.

Just buy a new headunit. I have an Alpine one with XM and an Ipod input.

 

If there's an AUX for the Evo, your best bet is to call the parts department...
being that, I think the cost is almost better if you just get a MP3 w/ AUX output for ~$150
