That plastic shield killed it for me...started off promising...like stated before, shoulda moulded it.

It's not pretty.....but it's functional for now!

Anyone have tips on how to learn to use fiberglass and do custom molds, let me know. Would love to try it out.

 

I didn't use fiberglass for my setup, but i did you painters putty and molded, sanded and painted...i would like to use fiberglass @ 1 point...

 

Did you do the same setup as me? Mind taking some pics and showing us your work. I would like to see how you did it and possibly use the same approach.

I have a spare vent surround sitting at home that i can play around with.
Also, the putty i can pick up from a Lowe's or a Home Depot right?

 

I did finish mine the other day, I redid my Turbo timer where the stock clock goes. No boost gauge. I'll snap some pix today or tomorrow

I just purchased spotputty(quick dry) from a local autopart store. Sand paper, 100, 800 grit sand paper, paint(Paint color shown is black w/ metal flakes) and clear coat.

Sand and mold...till smooth. My only gripe is that i didn't adjust it 100% level so the left side protrudes a little more than the right...glare is not bad, i can read the numbers(i have it hooked up to my ECU speed signal)
