Custom Boost Guage...in progress

All, i am working on an idea for a boost install and would like some comments, suggestions, advice etc...

Here is the basic Evo dash...

Here is your Lancer Ralli Dash...

Notice the Lancer has the emergency button next to the stereo. I plan on relocating the EVo setup to the Lancer setup.

Now comes the fun part. I want to cut out the area where the clock and stock evo emergency button is like so....

The hard part will be making a frame to hold the gauge into the square vent cutout. I figure a 52mm guage should give me plenty of room to work with.

What does everyone think?

Just a suggestion, but you dont want your gauge to be pointing upward. You need to counter-sink it so its level with the dash.

Someone on here relocated the hazard switch to the roof of the cubby, try searching around, they might have ideas.

Appreciate the comments everyone. Karash, i'm working on that as we speak brother.

I'm actually trying to find a company to custom mold the vent support with the gauge support in the middle as above but cleaner looking. Hopefully i can find someone.

Thank You very much sir! Def nothing wrong with trying something new.

I plan on using the stock lancer setup to keep it all factory looking which mounts the hazard right next to the radio.

I've been really busy with work so i haven't had time to work on this..but hopefully it will be ready real soon!

paid < $300 for the Boost gauge and the controller

Everything else is still to be determined. as far as the stock lancer dash with the moved hazard. I have to check junkyards to find the panel or pay the dealer 80 bux for a new one.
