headlight help

Question headlight help

whats up guys i'm pretty new here and this is my first post. I was wondering if ne one had ne ideas on my problem. I bought my evo through a person and not a dealership and the right headlight was out and he told me it jus needed a new one it burnt out. I went to the how to thread on here and followed the directions and i got it changed and it still doesnt work and I checked the fuse its good, i even swapped it with the left light and it worked........does ne one have ne ideas on where to go next. please help thanks. The headline is suppose to be healight help....

I'd start by checking the electrical continuity in the wiring.

Most likely a bad relay.

Could be that the ballast box went bad. The silver box that screws to the headlight assembly. Switch the box from the bad one to the good side and see if it follows suit

I would put my money on a bad ballast , if you switched the light with another and it worked but when u replaced the bulb... I'de have to say ballast also.

Same problem with my friend's 06 STi....Do you get any moisture built up inside the headlight? What happens if you let the car sit for a day or 2?

With his, if it sits a day and he starts it up, it will work for min.

well i did some troubleshooting and it turned out it was the ballest.......does ne one kno where i can get a cheap one or is that like an oem mitsu part only??

dealer is best bet due to Mitsu proprietary harness, you need one that connects the stock wiring. Its gonna cost ya though if not warrantied.
