Who's running a component set?
a/d/s/ 346is components powered by PPI PC4800. I havent had these in a car in a while if anyone's interested pm me. The a/d/s/ tweeters are top notch, loud and clear but no ear fatique even at absurd volume levels.
I figure i'll ask in here since so many people have components/amp. setup.
I have a JL Audio 10w6 sub and JL Audio 500/1 amp for bass.
I'm looking to upgrade the interior speakers to components. I'm not sure at all what to go with.
I'm lookin for some nice hitting mid-range bass, and clear highs. I listen to a lot of house/trance music.
Which one of the above mentioned setups would be good for that? what do you guys say lol

Honestly I would invest in a nice set of fronts and 2 channel amp, and do no rear speakers. I have only fronts with an amp in my car and its sounds great! Its all in what sounds good to you. Dont forget the dynamat!

I run an alpine 4 channel amp for my surrounds that's 4X100. For normal listening, my rears add just enough filler to make my sound stage seem infinately wide, when I am running DVD Audio's I have it set for equal volume from all 5 channels.
I would recommend covering the inside of the door (the inner part of the outer sheetmetal) with as much dynamat as you can (it's hard to reach your hand inside and get the whole panel). Or the spray sound dampener could work well on the inner part. Than, cover the entire door with dynamat making sure to cover all the holes (except the speaker hole of course). This will do two things. Dampen any resonance from the door panel so that it is a solid mounting surface for the speaker. And it will also effectively create somewhat of an "enclosure" for your speaker since it will seal off the front sound wave from the rear sound wave. Highly recommend covering the entire door for the best sound possible.
