I remember seeing an image of a headunit that displayed album artwork off an ipod. Anybody offhand know which model does this?

 

^^The Alpine iDA-X001 shows Ipod album artwork. It doesn't come out till April, atleast thats what the Alpine Website says. Hope this helps..

 

Thanks, it does. Although, another user here posted a picture of a DIN monitor unit out right now that displayed a sort of mini ipod with album artwork. Hours of searching rendered nothing.

 

Most flip up screens do, I know some of the pioneer ones do

 

I just got an Eclipse CD7000, I think it does too. I cannot remember now though.

 

Yea, I'm sorry guys, meant to mention that I'm looking for a flip out or double din unit. Not just a single DIN like i said before. I'll check oout the pioneers and eclipse unit. Thanks.

 

After some research. Seems that the single din alpine coming out soon is the only one that displays artwork. The new pioneer will play all videos from your ipod (which is sweet,) but after watchint the video demo, it doesnt show artwork :[.

 

Ive heard that the Alpine navigation sux... Is there any way to navigate from the IPOD and bypass the headunit's navigation?

 

The new Alpine iDA-X001's Ipod navigation mimics the Ipod's navigation scheme. Seems pretty flawless to me.

 

I just installed the Alpine iDA-X001 and I must say that it is awesome. The iPod integration is so seamless...and it sounds great (I have the Infinity speakers/sub from the SSL package). The album artwork is very cool to see it on the screen...although I keep looking at it rather than the road
