I was just making sure the the wire that you used to for the remote wire is connected to the injector wire. My remote start works like this but i think its dangerous.

There is a wire needed for a tach signal. This lets the RS monitor the engines rpm's. Once learned the RS will know when to stop cranking the starter.

There is nothing dangerous about tapping into the injector wire, but why do that when there is a good tach wire signal right at the ECU?

well if that wire breaks than no signal will be sent to that injector for fuel correct.

I didnt do the install but i am pretty sure mine is tapped. It was tapped in, not spliced so the injector wire was never cut.

yeah same here. It does seem to crank a little more then necessary.

no, you know your injectors dont fire when you let off the gas right? it is just pumping air using the inertia of the car to turn the motor over.... engine braking.

its just a reference signal wire. You can hook it up to the speedo, injector, ecu, or even at the coil wires....either will work on these cars. The signal at the injector or the ecu will be the strongest..

Worst case the wire breaks. I step on it hit 22psi of boost. What happens, nothing?

What are you trying to get at? If the wire breaks the injector will not fire. If your at full boost, yes, you could cause piston damage but there is no way to say yes or no. If there is no fuel there will be no burn so the extant of the damage is unknown if it even happened.

Use the god dam tach wire at the ecu. It is inside the cabin, easy to get to and you don't risk a chance of the injector wire breaking.

I wish the alarm installer would have used a different wire other that clamping the injector wire. I have had the alarm for a few years now but always worry about that wire breaking. I didnt know what effects it would have if the wire broke. Thanks.

There is very little room there to soldier a connection and shrink wrap it.
