Headunit install on SSL...review parts needed

Ok just like the title says I wil be replacing my stock infiniti headunit with the
Jensen VM9312 unit which is a in dash dvd player. I've installed many headunits in the past but never on a car with a factory subwoofer. I know that I need the harness (obviously). I don't believe i will need an install kit (please correct me if i'm wrong). I would also assume that I need some sort of converter to hook up the factory amp and sub to the aftermarket unit, where would I find something like this?

Are there any other parts I might need for this install? Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Justin

Check the link for your answers. Pm the OP if you have questions. He just did what you are trying to do. Goodluck.

Ok so Id like to do this: Change head unit(already have my indash(audiovox)).Leave stock wiring for mids and highs but just switch out speakers alone(already have these). Also want to change out the subwoofer and sub amp for my own.Are there two seperate amps in the ssl system?(1 for sub/1 for hi's and lows) What exactly would I need to make this possible.I already have my speakers and sub amp,HU,etc.I only need to know which adapters I need.People are suggesting there are 2 different ones and a new all-in-one unit.Which will work for what I want to do and is what I want to do possible at all? Thanks in advance.Paypal and visa ready to buy the harnesses or whatever I need.A link to where I can buy exactly what I need would be awesome.Sorry for asking to be spoon fed but I search and I get confused about the two rca adapters.None of the links Ive seen allow me to purchase direct either.

Go to bestbuy they sell them. I just bought the kit and it includes the radio harness and the infiniti adpater which allows you to hook up the factory amp to any aftermarket headunit. Some stores do not have them in stock so they will order it for you but it will cost you $30 instead. You need to ask them for the infiniti kit or they will just give you the harness.

You will need the MITAH adapter. It will plug into the din style connector running to the stock amplifier. The Mitah will have 2 sets of RCA connectors and a amp remote wire, all of which will be hooked up to your new aftermarket stereo. You will also need the mitsubishi oem conversion harness for 12v constant, 12v Ignition, and illumination. I just received my new stero from Crutchfield today, just waiting on my MITAH adapter to get here so I can install the damn thing... yet another reason I hate living 2 hours from everything, and the biggest reason I hate eBay.... long *** shipping times
