Well if you understand why most Hondas get stolen alot of them never had an immobilizer system in them. All it take it putting 12 volts to a select few wires which I will not describe. Now that is not the same for every Vehicle. Mitsubishi Evolutions and generally most cars made after 2002 have an immobilizer in them this is a form of keysense that is built into the igition switch. Mostly people steal these vehicles on a flat bed! lol. If you know someone at a dealership that is in on this crap they can make you a key just by having your VIN normally they are required to scan your ID and have a copy of the title but then again dirty parts guy. Scenario, A theif sees an EVO and wants that car goes and takes down the VIN gets it to his part guy and he cuts him a key to get into the car and he can just program it in the key cylinder himself, or cut the wireing. I am an MECP First Class installer, years of remote starts, security and such!

unless you have an eye on it 24/7 if a professional thief really wanted it he would get it.
tracking ability will only help you if you discover that it was stolen before they can complete the stripping process

they write down your vin on the front window dash. they go to the dealer and say they lost their key. the dealer issues them a new one without any backround check and even give them a new keyless entry and then they go back to your car and drive away as it was their own.
