Good luck with it and have fun. I'll be playing with mine all week.
Yeah, it takes a little getting used to, but all of them do IMO. After playing with it for a few days you'll find it's not bad at all. I love it. I've got the navi, bluetooth, ipod and Sirius add-ons. All work great for me. I think the navi is very good...it's a Garmin system so it's pretty easy. It's better than the navi that came in my 2006 Audi A4. The 5V pre-outs are very nice (since not many double-din head units have 5V unless you choose Eclipse). The iPod integration is probably the best I've played with. Super fast at changing songs. It shows the album artwork which is sweet. And you can navigate all the playlists just like you can on your iPod. What can I say, I love it

Looks good. I find the extra effort for stereo installs are totally worth it.

How long did it take to mount the tweeters in the door? Also did you notice that having them installed in the stock location made the tweeters very bright. I recently had Focal K2's installed and the tweeters are way to bright in that location.

Mounting the tweeters in the door panels was maybe 30 minutes each side. I bought a drill bit that cuts the hole. I think it's 1.75" for my tweeters. You can find them in many different sizes at any Home Depot or Lowes. Then, just pop the tweeters in and do the screw on the back to hold them in. Not difficult if you have even a small level of carpentry skills.

And, yes, I agree that the stock location is too bright. Too many sound reflections off the windshield.

To be honest, it didn't add that much weight to the car.

~20lbs for dynamat
~25lbs for subwoofer and enclosure
~30lbs for amps and amp rack
~10lbs for wiring
TOTAL of about 85lbs

But, I also took out my spare tire which I'm guessing weighs about 35-40lbs. So, net weight gain was 45-50lbs for everyday driving. Not too bad IMO. Plus, I can easily take out the sub enclosure and amp rack for track days
