Kansai Service Rear Diffuser

Wondering what youre thoughts on this are. The Kansai Service rear diffuser looks bad @ss but I wanted to know whether you think it is functional. I know that it probably reduces drag by blocking part of the rear bumper so that air doesnt get stuck in there (similar to cutting holes in the rear bumper). But does it also improve stability and handling?

its made for the smaller pre-9 Euro/JDM bumper. this was the bumper that came on the 8's overseas before the OEM diffuser was incorporated on the IX's, it was more squared off, similar to a VII.

Yep need a JDM 8 Bumper to fit it... Most likely not worth the price.

mmm....The price is actually cheaper than I thought it would be. I expeceted for them to be in the range of $1-2K, but the carbon version is $747 and a fiberglass piece for $610. But I guess if you have to buy an Evo 8 JDM bumper than I would have to add that to the price then.

Kmxxbadboy can you confirm that I would need to change out my rear bumper, and if so how much did it cost you?

You would need a JDM Evo VIII rear bumper to use the HKS Kansai diffuser.

Don't know how much it cost, as I took it off my cousin's Evo in Japan.

Buschur is now making the rear diffuser for the EVO8 USDM. Mine shipped already this week supposedly. $175 plus shipping

You will need to trim it to fit the exhaust a little depending on the pipe and can size, according to David Buschur

No pics of the USDM yet, only JDM. It also says there is a flat rate of 210 added on for shipping. That can't be right? I would think the shipping wouldn't be more than 30-50 bones?

The Buschur piece isn't really a diffuser. Not even really sure what its effect is on Aerodynamics when used with the JDM rear with the built in diffuser.

its nice but when it gets down to it, so you really want something that small that does nothing unless you include it to other items?
