Viper Alarm Stinger DoubleGuard shock sensor

I have a viper 791XV alarm in my car. I have tried mounting the stinger shock sensor in a few different locations, and tried adjusting the senstivity. I just can't get it to trip hardly. If you slam the trunk or something, it will go off. But if i shake the car, it wont do anything. How can I make it more sensitive? What is the best thing to mount it to?

That is because it is a shock sensor and not a motion sensor. Shaking the vehicle will not trigger it. Strike the window with your palm to trigger it.

i have. it takes a LOT. someone hit my mirror with their car, and that triggered the first warning.
