Another Double Din Question--JDM and Orbital
Ok so I've been searching around Evom and Socalevo and the consensus seems to be that the Orbital Kit would be the way to go to install a double din unit on the evo. But since they are discontinuing productions
they are very hard to come by. I've tried buying a used one but that turned out flawed
. Then Im hearing the JDM is just an overlay (no tabs) but Im also hearing that the evolutions in Japan are actually running around with double din bezels from factory. Now my question is are those going to fit our cars? with the exception of the HVAC unit (theirs is the "automatic" HVAC, while ours have cables)
So using the Orbital HVAC on the lower bezel (cubby area) and the original JDM double din, shouldn't this work?
anyone have this setup?

I think the upper dash portion should fit ours (the part that holds the radio). But moving the HVAC controls is the big reason why I needed the Orbital kit.
There are also the overlays to change the dash color.
There was a couple threads on this somewhere.
