Sirius radio problems

Everytime I turn my car on I have to turn the radio off and on for it to reconnect with my Sirius radio. I have an Alpine head unit. Is there a problem with the install or is this normal?

Do you have it hardwired with a sir-alp1?

If so make sure the power lead is from a constant source (not switched on/off by ignition).

That is not normal.
