When you cover up the holes in the doors, be careful not to cover the holes that allow water to escape from the bottom of the door. Water will enter in from the top glass seal and if it can't go anywhere, you can flood out your expensive speakers.

Excellent point! plus you want moisture to escape as well.

Are those crossevers mounted in the sides of the dash? The audio shop put mine in the open space right below the factor tweeter and they rattle some. Also did you put your tweeters in the factory location. Mine seem to sound a bit bright there.

I finally had my system installed and am running the K2P tweeters in the stock tweeter location and they sound fine to me. However, I am also running a seperate trunk mounted EQ with time alignment, which probably helps a lot.

and i am in the process of fiber-glassing pods for the tweets so they are aimed correctly.

I'm born and raised in the Monterey Bay and definetely feel there is plenty to do, albeit the Santa Cruz scene definetely revolves around the UCSC scene, but Summer is more touristy. Between the two I prefer the UCSC scene rather than the Summer tourists...haha! If you want the beach, there's countless beaches, each with its own differences from the other ones. If you want to barhop, there's downtown Santa Cruz, if you want a nice chill pub to hang out at, there's places for that too. There's Cannery Row without having to pay for a vacation....haha! There's also the Santa Cruz mountains so there's lots of mountain hiking that can lead to some amazing sights. Finally, you're very close to San Jose and the rest of the Bay Area so you aren't in the middle of nowhere. Just my thoughts as a Monterey Bay native

Did you just lay the dynamat over the big holes in the door or did you cover them with something (mesh, mdf, etc.) and then dynamat. I am going to be doing mine soon and don't know what to do about the big holes in the door.
