Perrin Shorty Antenna

Getting one soon had a quick question.

I see they offer both 2" and 4" models. Both the same price.

Is there any reception difference between the two? If not, of course I'm gonna want to go with the 2".

Thanks!

Think about it, more area, better reception. Yes the 4" gets better reception, but the 2" is still pretty good though, so unless you use your FM a lot I would go with the 2

Well yeah, I kind of thought that, but with technology today I figured it may be just as good. I usually listen to my CD's anyway (radio sucks ***).

You still lose reception quality with a shorty antenna...I did when I went to a shorty Perrin antenna from the stocker. The stocker was way better in my opinion. I have an eclipse deck and the radio reception is nothing to write home about with my perrin shorty antenna....

The stocker is mediocre to say the best (IMO) as it is. Just wanted something that looked better. Then again, like I said, I usually just listen to CD's. So maybe I'll just got with the 2" for the look.

I have the 4" and I haven't had too much trouble with reception. You can always try to get a JDM EVO 7 antenna. Its not as short as the Perrin Shorty antennas but you can never go wrong with oem.

I have the perrin 4" and love it. 2" looks too short to me.

look for a mercury milan in a parking lot, and switch antennas with them. Its the same style as ares, but about 6 inches shorter.
