Fixing rubber surround on sub?

Ok guys,
Went to call rockford to replace my Power T210" and found out tht they recently stopped repairing? and they dont make the T2 10" anymore and could only "offer" me a T212 at the discounted price of 350 or something.

The problem with my t210 is that the rubber flex part has come detached (unglued) from half of the metal center. How can i fix this myself? what type of glue?

Please help!

+1 on the silicone adhesive. A pic might help to better understand what's going on.

No, you want to use an industrial strength CA glue, with activator.

Doesn't CA glue (superglue) eat rubber?

No that is what we use to put our subwoofers together. Every subwoofer uses it.
www.ddaudio.com is our subwoofers. We have had to use it to repair a fully ripped off surround before. Its acourse not the best way to repair (best being a recone), but it works.

Hmm

Ive re-coned alot of speakers and nevered used super glue on the surround's .
It was most all ways a white glue , dang it cant rember the name of it now (Yeah I know this dont help now)

One main thing to look out for is when re-gluing the surround to the cone or basket its to make sure it is aligned up right .

To do this RIGHT you need to remove the dust cap and use small shim's in the Voice coll gap and properly aligne it up then do your repare .

If the repare is made and the speakers suspension is not aligned the VC can/will rub the top plate , make a scraping noise and/or FAILing .

btw post up a pic b4 doing anything ...

He is talking about the surround not the spiders. You do not use dollar store superglue either. You go buy industrial grade CA glue. Here is a walkthrough.

If the surround alignement is off it can throw off the alignement of the VC .
