MConsoliA4 Trunk!

So i got my evo box and it seemed to be thicker than the ones that people were complaining about (held up to the light i could barely see shadows of my hand through it). I was concerned that my sub (Rockford Power Stage 2) would fit because its a monster of a 10" However it did, just heats up a little easy in the sealed box so i gotta keep it conservative, which is perfectly fine for me.
enjoy (thanks Mconsoli great box!)

oh and i know, i gotta scrape off the old dyna matting from the amp and replace it's cover. (its a monster Rockford Fosgate Power T20001bd)

this last one (horrible with flash) is just to show how much of the trunk is available even with a huge (powerwise) sub and amp

Looks nice. What kind of SPL are you putting out? What else do you have in your system? I think I remember that you have the Orbital with Avic-Z2. What mids/highs?

Glad it all worked out for you. That sub looks pretty mean. That is a very usable trunk. Goodluck.

The surround on that thing is crazy. Definitely looks nice and practical.

Look's great!. I'm waiting on mine and I'll post pictures as soon as it's in. I also have a question, Do your dashlights flicker at high volumes with that amp?

yesssssir they do haha, but its no biggie, at least HIDs dont dim with bass like halogens so no one else can see it ha. it can be helped with a cap (like 1.5-2 farads) but i didnt want to get into it that much. (or even a bigger alternator)

Kinda figured that they do. I'm runnging a JL 500/1 and 300/4 with a JL10W7V3 sub and ran into the same thing. I have a 1.5 cap which helped, but didn't solve the problem by it's self. I ended up tweaking the input gain on the amps and got rid of it. It will be interesting to see what happens when I get my enclosure.

Build a cover for it out of MDF and cover it with fabric. I'll post mine later.

How did you mount the enclosure to the car to ensure it stays put?

You screw the box down before you mount the woofer.
