pass front window messed up???

Alright so when I bought my car back in Dec the window always seemed to go up a little crooked.. after thinking it was off the track i took the door apart and reset it in the track.. Same problem occurred but even worse one of the bolts broke off this time. tried to replace them but the plastic tabs didnt line up with the window right. so i bought a new regulator thinking it was that and the window still is like a quarter to a half inch off of lining up with the regulator mind you that its in the track still..

What could be causing this???

I just picked up a set of all tinted windows off a friend for really cheap im gonna try replacing the glass and see if that works. if you have any input let me know cuz im stuckk!

sounds like regulator is not evenly "pushing" it up? But, you replaced that it sounds like. Does it seal up completely?

Can you post some pics? Kind of strange, man!

Yea it seals up completley as long as i assist it and make it go up even.. And i just replaced it with a perfectly working one out of a brand new evo 9 with only 12k on it.

Our regulators, along with other manufacturers' regulators, are designed to "float" the window to permit the glass to follow the runchannel freely. Sometimes, the slightest bit of drag will cause the window to bind as it travels up and down in it's track. The inner belt molding is a common point of this drag. Just for fun, try to push in the inner belt molding (the felt pad rubbing against the window) and see if the same window will bind like before. Chances are, when you installed the new window, you had to remove the inner belt molding, and when you re-installed it, the molding could have been installed with less pressure against the glass, thus not causing the previous binding problem. Let me know, I'm curious. Don't want to give out this advice if it doesn't pertain to our cars. Not sure about this problem in our Evo's but definitely a problem in other models with this same design regulator.

it wasnt either the regulator or the channel. the window it self was somehow warped.. i replaced it with a new window and it worked perfect.
