Orbital Question

Hey guys, I'm getting an Alpine IVA-W505/P1 to go in the Orbital Double Din I just got.

I know this is a semi-newb question, but do I need a bracket for it or will it fit right in? Also, if I do need a bracket does anyone know where I could get one?

Thanks for the help in advance. I did a search but it turned up nothing ( except garbage like wheel fitments for Evo Xs )

I just used my factory brackets but drilled new holes in them because your double din will need to sit a bit lower compaired to holes already in brackets. Just make sure you get the angle right.

or

I know some people that have used a double din cage - if you have one available for your screen and a trim ring.

Aight. I haven't gotten my head unit yet but I wanted to find out so I could get any necessary parts and not have to wait when I did get it. Thanks for the help. I'll try the new holes.

yeah, some screens will be different. you may not need to drill new holes. when i put my eclipse in with the provided holes it either sat a half inch too high or too low.

I just took my install apart to fix/heat and mold the lower hvac relocation bezel that was supplied with the orbital kit. While rummaging through the garage, I found the original orbital install folder. It includes a template for drilling new holes in the dash slightly below the current holes for the radio bracket. After examining everything, I've realized that the only reasons I re-drilled the factory install brackets was to reduce how far my Kenwood unit protruded and to adjust the angle of the unit once the upper bezel was installed.
