Bought my First Radar today.
I have mine at the top of the windshield, just left of the rear view mirror. I took the flat (telephone type wiring) up, under the headliner edge (just gently tuck it up there), from there, ran left, down the A piller (take off the a pillar for this... real easy) and it will drop straight down into the foot well. From there... um... I got lazy
and ran it straight to the cig lighter and plugged it in. You can easily use an add-a-fuse or tap the cig lighter, but I got lazy when i first put it in and I don't smoke and realized that it doesn't bother me at all that it's using the cig lighter.
Good purchase! V1 is absolutely fantastic and has proven to me to be very VERY accurate and effective. I caught myself numerous times unmarked cop hunting in traffic
wait... forward arrow? so he's up there somewhere ... oh now it's rear arrow.. I passed him... ok a little more... NOW it's side arrow ... Turn head and wave

Don't wire to the domelight, not 100% sure on how the delay works on the dome circuit. If you have the hardwire kit, just wire it to ignition...not accessory, ignition. Well it's a personal preference, i prefer my v1 to be off if i am sitting listening to the radio.
I've pretty much given up running my V1 in Virginia. I've known about the Spectre 3 (radar detector detector) for awhile and have even been caught with it. The V1 has nothing to combat the Spectre, only the Bel STI does. Even if I got the Bel I'd still have trouble though. Half the cops in Va don't leave their radar on, they wait until they see a fast car then shoot. I'm too worried about the Spectre so I just drive 5-9 over unless the flow of traffic is faster. Guess that's a good thing though, been ticket free for awhile.

Forgot to mention, I run the concealed display unit behind the clock. Pretty straight forward install and is clean as hell. High and center for the placement of the v1 as well.
