No kit was used. I ordered the stock piece from lancershop for 44 bucks, took it to this place called Brass Customs and they did the rest. The shop is located in Killeen, Ft. Hood Texas area.

I'm thinking about doing this myself. Considering the depth of a double din head unit did you have to modify (i.e. saw) any of the metal framing behind it for it to fit? Thx

mine fits like oem fittment is perfect.. but my friend has gaps didn't fit right.. so i guess im lucky? =)

Yea they were hit/miss. From what I hear once they outsourced over seas the quality went to ****...

This kit is exactly what I need to change to the double din, is there any chance that I still can buy this kit???

My car is 2007 Lancer ES (Velocity Special Edition). If anyone know website/people from this forum is selling the kit, please PM me.
