I'm thinking about producing HVAC faceplates if OP decides not to.

Right now, I'm in the middle of cutting my faceplate. Will probably finish it end of next week. If I can cut it nicely (pretty questionable!) and find a place to keep the price down to $100 or so, then I'll probably make a small run of 30-50 faceplates for people.

I'd want something of at least the same quality as the Mitsubishi plastics, so if I can't do that and keep the price semi-reasonable, I probably won't do it.

More product production and less talk.... ive already seen numerous people claim they will make something and nothing ever comes about they just disappear without any of us knowing and still waiting to see something. as for the " hack" job i myself did it and didnt think it was that bad considering i didnt spend an arm and i leg on the discontinued crapy looking orbital kit. also just a relo piece for the A/C controls which more then likely will be a thin piece of plastic i would expect prices to be around $50 or $60 bucks and no more. if it is and its a nice piece made then count me in.

Stop running your mouth, get off your duff, and make it happen! I invested alot (relativley speaking since I have VERY LITTLE spare time and it was MY OWN money) in this...it didn't work out due to crappy cost vs. benefit. Try making your own product, keep us updated, and let me hack on you.

THIS PROJECT IS DEAD! SEE UPDATE IN POST #1!

I'm about 75% of the way trimming my HVAC faceplate, and it's turning out fine. I've never looked into small batches of plastic production, but I also figured a small run would end up pretty expensive to make the mold, etc., and off the cuff figured it also would end up costing people like $100/faceplate.

I'll still look into it and see if it's still at all reasonable to do around here once I'm done cutting up the HVAC bezel.

Thanks for the update WhiteEvo05.
