Everytime i turn on the A/C, i hear this whining noise coming from the stereo. Its not coming from the motor cuz when i turn off the stereo, the noise is gone. Does anyone knows what cause this? I do have an amp and sub.

 

its the turbo, turn down your radio and you will hear it more often. Just kidding. I get that too with the AC on and on an AM station.

 

had this issue on another car and I was told its the amperage being pulled from the speakers/amp. Not sure if it was true or not, but it made sense at the time

 

sometime i cant stand it, so i blast my music up to cover up the whining noise. could it be the battery?

 

You're getting feedback from the amp.

Sometimes you can change to better shielded RCA cables and it will stop that sound.
Or you could try a noise filter inline with the cables.

If it doesn't you might have to move your amp and headunit ground to better spots or add another ground wire somewhere.

I had it on my old car with 3000+ watts and it was a pita to get rid of..

You probably meant to say alternator whine. Feedback results when a sound is fed into a mic, amplified, then re-fed into the same mic.

Good advice. I'd check the grounds as a first step. Not knowing more about the system and the install, it's hard to point to anything specific.

 

Does anybody has the diagram of the amp. I'm having the same problem and planning on rewiring my power feed but needed the diagram on the connector. I separated all the speaker aside but theres still like 6 more wire left. Anybody?

 

Do you have your power and signal wires run together? If so, try running the power and remote switch wires through one side of the car, and signal wires through the other side. I always do this when I do an install, never had that problem.

Check to see if you are running your wires any where near your fuel pump. If so, there is your problem. dont know why, cuz im not a science guru, but when your wires run near a fuel pump, it gets that whine. Let me know if it works out for ya.

 

what did you do to fix it? did you just move the wire or relocated?

 

run your wires so they arent near it. first, to make sure its it, wile car is on, listen for the whine. then grab your wires and move them closer and away from it. if you hear the noise change, thats it. hope it helps

 

Also make sure you have more than enough ground.
