Need Help with sub

Im not an audio guy at all.I want to add a little more bass to my car.I already have an aftermarket headunit.i would like to keep stock speakers. My cousin had a setup in his galant vr4 and it sounded decent with 17 year old stock speakers.Do i need a sub box,amp and crossover?I would like box to be removable because im a racer first.any suggestions would be appreciated.

basslinks sound decent... not easy to remove. A 10inch bazooka tube has a single disconnect which would be easier. Your better off with a small sealed 10inch sub and an amp maybe mount the amp under the driver seat.

Thanks for feed back.what do you guys think of the amplified bazookas seems like they are easier to install. My head unit i believe has a dedicated sub output so that would be sorta like a crossover?

on the topic of subs, when i get my car back i was wanting to put one 10" sub in and amping my speakers. the only thing im worried about is the fact im running a mini battery and the pioneer avic-z100bt. will i have enough power off the battery or should i look at just doing the trunk relocation?

^lol - what is the crazy stuff? 4 screws and a breakaway cable to the back of the box? Oh, the 12w6? It sounds really good inside without rumbling on the outside of the car (unless you crank it).
