Remote door lock issue

First, I hope I put this in the correct section.

Second, I did some searching around the forums and didn't find the answer I was looking for.

Since I purchased my 03 evo 8 about a month or so ago, I've had an issue with the remote door lock fob. It seems to work on every door EXCEPT the driver's door! For example, if all doors are UNLOCKED, and I click the LOCK button, all doors except the driver's door will LOCK. If all doors are locked and I click UNLOCK, nothing happens. If JUST the driver's door is unlocked and I click UNLOCK, the other doors will unlock. The lock on the driver's door works with the key, and works with the button inside the car.

I searched and basically only found people having issues after installing turbo timers with the piece in the steering column that detects if the key is in the ignition. This doesn't appear to be the issue seeing as the fob works on the other doors and I don't have the beeping issue. I do have a turbo timer that was installed when I purchased the car though. I believe its the HKS type 1 TT. It appears to be installed correctly.

Can anyone help me out or lead me in any sort of direction to start diagnosing this issue? Thanks

Hmm...I don't think I've tried using the power lock button to see if it locks/unlocks the driver's side door. Could be a simple fix.

If that's the case, anyone have the part number for the door lock actuator?

Yup, turns out the lock doesn't work from the switch inside the door. I'm guessing this means the actuator is bad. Anyone know the Mitsu part number?

Haha, yes sounds like an actuator, but check the wiring first.

Reviving this old *$$ thread. I've been dealing with this same problem for years. Does anybody know the problem or the actuator part number. I can't find it on Mitsuparts.

Try sending a PM to RusselM on here, he's always been very helpful in finding me those weird parts that I can't seem to locate.

Are you sure that's it? That sounds like the physical latch that keeps the door closed. This part should be some type of relay I believe that moves the locking mechanism inside the door when it gets a signal from the key fob.
